Dozens of monkeys gang up to steal food from pickup truck
Dozens of monkeys ganged up to steal food from a pickup truck.
Footage shows the primates crowding on the back of a vehicle that was stuck in traffic while it lightly rained in Lopburi, Thailand on April 11.
The macaques swarmed the cargo bed and took each a fruit before hopping off to flee.
Onlooker Chamaiphon said: ‘The monkeys stole the mangoes from the truck. It was chaos.'
Lopburi has become a popular tourist destination because of its large population of monkeys. The monkeys are mostly long-tailed macaques, and they can be found all over the city, from the temples to the streets.
However, they can also be aggressive, and they have been known to steal food and belongings.
