Wild monkey scopes out tourist from tree before stealing his food
A wild monkey was seen scoping out a tourist from a tree - then scampering over to steal his food.
The macaque was sitting on a branch while stalking the sunbathing holidaymakers on a beach in Chonburi province, Thailand on June 5.
But after a short while, the primate climbed down the safety of its tree and silently went behind a beach-goer.
Footage shows the monkey grabbing a bag of chips from a man before quickly running away and climbing up a tree.
Onlooker Thirasak Srinet said: ‘I didn't know about the animal's evil plan. I was only filming what it would do because it seemed to watch the people below.'
The monkey spilt snacks along the way but got most of it back on top of its home tree.
It enjoyed snacking while the tourist remained on his spot, more aware of his surroundings because of the fast monkey.
