A drowning boy rescued after being spun round by friends and pushed into swimming pool.

CCTV footage shows Ralph Agramon being spun by three of his friends before they shoved him into the water at the resort in Agusan del Sur province, the Philippines on March 9.

Ralph struggled to stay afloat as the dizziness from spinning prevented him from swimming properly and he started to sink.

One of his friends even recorded the scene on his phone seemingly unaware of how dangerous the prank was.

However, the amused lads started to worry when several mi minutes have passed and their friend failed to surface in the water.

One of them jumped into the pool but could not find the drowning youngster so they frantically called other guests for help.

Several adults came and dived into the pool to search for Ralph until he was found two minutes later.

They dragged him to the side of the pool where he was given CPR to revive him as he was struggling to breathe and his lips had turned dark.

When he started to regain consciousness, he was able to cough off some of the water and was rushed to the hospital by paramedics who arrived at the scene.

Ralph’s sister Chen said her brother is now fine but he will have to stay to the hospital until he is better.

She said: ‘He took in so much water in his lungs so doctors said he will have to stay in the hospital for at least a week more.

‘I am relieved that there were guests willing to help my brother that day. They saved my brother’s life.’

Chen added that her brother’s friends had already been reprimanded by their parents after knowing what happened.

She said: ’We told their parents about the incident and let their parents punish their children. Please always think about the consequences of your actions.’
