A wild monkey cooled off with guests in a hotel swimming pool in Thailand.

Footage shows the primate sitting on the roof and observing as kids were playing in the water in Prachuap Khiri Khan province.

Soon after, it joined the holidaymakers and swam to enjoy the cold water. It even pushed a floater to the edge before climbing up while enjoying splashing around in the water.

It returned to swim again while the children kept a safe distance from the animal until it left the property.

Wild monkeys are common across Thailand, with wildlife researchers finding they are becoming increasingly confident around humans.

Some areas where monkeys have become problematic have even started large-scale sterilisation programmes to control the surging population.
