This is the exhilarating moment passing drivers spotted a motorbike bursting into flames in traffic.

Warakron Songkam witnessed the vehicle on fire and even helped to extinguish the fire in Chiang Mai, Thailand, on April 30.

Footage shows the two-wheeled vehicle emitting dark smoke and fire, parked in the middle of the motorway.

According to Warakron, a young man was riding the motorcycle, but he became stuck at the red light. A fire then broke out near the vehicle's engine, close to the fuel tank.

The owner of the vehicle attempted to extinguish the fire using cloth and cover, but it couldn't be extinguished.

The fire quickly spread because of the fuel, so he had to hurry to seek help and find a fire extinguisher to suppress the incident and prevent the bike from catching fire completely.

They suspected that it might be due to a leaking oil line, combined with hot weather and a hot engine, causing the oil to catch fire and spread rapidly.
