This is the moment a pick-up truck jumped a red light and crashed into a motorcycle sidecar at an intersection in Thailand.

CCTV footage shows the truck running the red light before colliding with a motorcycle rider entering the junction in Nakhon Ratchasima province on January 3.

Driver Sommai Wisetpolkrang, 65, was knocked off her seat by the crash and was seen clinging onto the motorcycle as it veered toward a fuel cylinder store on the roadside.

Locals rushed to help the injured Sommai, who said she and her grandmother had been driving back home when they were hit by the pick-up truck.

Both sustained only minor injuries and were taken to a hospital to be treated.

Police said they have obtained surveillance camera footage of the crash and will be questioning the truck driver for investigation.
