A truck tire speeding into a shop narrowly missed two children in southern China.

Terrifying video filmed in Chongqing City on June 30 shows a tire, seemingly propelled from the road, directly hitting the glass door of a shop, rebounding with enough force to penetrate the ceiling before falling onto the floor.

At the time, two children were playing inside the shop and hastily retreated upon noticing the impending danger, narrowly avoiding the flying tire and the falling ceiling.

Ms Lu, an employee in the shop, detailed the incident, a truck was driving normally when, due to a suspected lack of maintenance over a long period, one of its tires suddenly came off and charged into the shop. It almost hit the two children.

Fortunately, they weren't injured. The driver of the truck has since repaired the damage caused to the shop.

The video was provided by local media with permission.
