A kind food delivery man rescued a drowning kitten in a canal in Thailand.

Hero motorcyclist Chanachai Kitparadon, 49 and his partner Sunicha Butra, 39, heard the stray animal cry while crossing a bridge in Pathum Thani province on May 19.

They both climbed down into the drainage ditch and was surprised to discover a tiny ginger kitten trapped under the structure. Chanachai quickly took off his trousers and went into the canal to carry the struggling kitten up to safety.

The couple then took the kitten home and adopted her.

Sunicha said: 'It was during working hours but I had to stop because the kitten clearly needed help. My husband and I are happy to welcome this cat into our home and give her a safe life.'
