Anti-cuts campaigners joined the angry Southwark residents as they challenged Labour Cllr Richard Livingstone, the Cabinet Member for Finance, Resources and Community Safety, outside Camberwell Green Magistrates' Court, where they had been summonsed today for non-payment of their council tax arrears.

It has been reported that 4,500 Southwark residents, some of whom had been exempt from paying any Council Tax contributions before April 2013, were issued with summonses, following the Labour Council's decision to pass on to its residents the 10% deduction in the central government grant for council tax.
