This is the shocking moment multiple avalanches smashed into a hill station in Kashmir - sending horses running from the scene.

The avalanche struck the Sarbal neighbourhood in Sonamarg in the region of central Kashmir on Monday afternoon April 29.

The Border Roads Organization (BRO) Project Beacon worked to clear snow from the site.

Officials reported minor damage to the Sonamarg area on the forest side but no injuries from the avalanche.

Over the weekend, a team from the Border Roads Organization (BRO)successfully rescued 35 vehicles that had become stranded in the snow at Razdan Top on the Bandipora-Gurez road in Jammu and Kashmir.

The vehicles had been immobilised due to severe weather conditions, including heavy snowfall and snowstorms.

Meanwhile, the entire Kashmir valley has been inundated with flood-like conditions as a result of continuous rainfall.
