A Palestinian man named Amr Al-Haj recounts the horrific encounter he had with who he claims were Israeli soldiers in Halhul, a city located in the West Bank,

From his hospital bed, Al-Haj details how he was beaten to the ground by a group of soldiers.

He said: "I was standing when someone approached me from behind, and I didn't know it was the army. When I turned around, I found it was an Israeli soldier. I took off my jacket to escape, but he raised his weapon towards me and said, 'Stop'. He kicked me in this area, and I fell
to the ground. While I was on the ground, I saw a group of Israeli soldiers surrounding me, beating me."

A clip filmed by a local journalist shows a couple of soldiers kicking Aj-Haj whilst he was lying on the ground.

The Palestinian added: "Afterward, they entered the houses, pulled out all the young men there, and forced them out, assaulting them in the same way.

"When they beat me while I was on the ground, initially, he hit me from behind with his shoe and struck me here. Then, he brought a baton and hit me with it as well. Here's a blow with his foot on my body, and he hit me with his hands and weapons on my face. Anything he could grab, he struck my face.

"All the focus of the blows was on my face and head. I told him, 'Enough I didn't do anything,' but he continued hitting me.

"Then, he hit me with the front of the baton. I told him, 'My eyes hurt, stop, I can't see.' After that, he sprayed pepper spray in my eyes.
There are fractures in several parts of my body, including my nose, and my chest.

"All areas of my body have scratches from being dragged on the ground. Thank God for everything.

"There were some guys away from me, and when he saw them, he put his weapon on my shoulder and threw a gas grenade at them. The sound was very loud next to my ear, and now my ear hurts.“
