Skipping stones, also known as stone skimming or skimming stones, is a classic outdoor activity where you throw a flat stone across the water in a way that makes it bounce off the surface multiple times before sinking.
The stone's spin and angle create lift, similar to an airplane wing, allowing it to skim across the water instead of sinking immediately.
