This is the impressive moment a boy skimmed stones along a lake in China.

Footage shows the youngster throwing a piece of rock into the water so that it bounced repeatedly before sinking at the Sayram Lake in Xinjiang, China on July 12.

Skipping stones, also known as stone skimming or skimming stones, is a classic outdoor activity where you throw a flat stone across the water in a way that makes it bounce off the surface multiple times before sinking.

The stone's spin and angle create lift, similar to an airplane wing, allowing it to skim across the water instead of sinking immediately.
