Chunks of snow tumbled from multiple rooftops, damaging the signage and infrastructure in northern China.

The dramatic video was filmed in the city of Jixi in Heilongjiang Province on November 20.

In the wake of consecutive heavy snowfalls, daily life has been severely disrupted. On November 21, a tragic incident occurred in Jixi's Jiguan District on Kang Le Street, where an elderly person lost their life after being struck by falling icicles from an overhead building.

According to the latest forecast from the Jixi Meteorological Observatory, a major snowstorm, ranging from heavy to blizzard conditions, is expected to hit the city from the afternoon of November 22 to November 23.

The most intense snowfall is predicted for the afternoon and night of November 22, with new snow accumulation depths estimated between 8 centimetres and 12 centimetres.
