Seven people were injured after a car slammed into pedestrians near the Shibuya scramble crossing, one of Tokyo's iconic places, shortly after 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 7.

Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department said they arrested the driver, who is in his 20s, at the scene on suspicion of negligent driving. The man said he "mishandled the steering wheel."
