Highest level rain alerts were issued for northern China, including Beijing, due to lingering torrential rains in the region on Monday, July 31.

The weather pattern was caused by remnants of Typhoon Doksuri that lashed the nation over the weekend. The rain alerts with threats of river swelling, flash floods, and landslides last through Tuesday.
