This is the dramatic moment Super Typhoon Doksuri blew over a motorcycle rider as powerful winds slammed into the Philippines today.

The road user was caught in the storm in Dagupan City in the Ilocos Region this afternoon, July 25. Debris was seen blowing across the road with building suffering damage from the gusts.

The Philippine weather agency PAGASA said Typhoon Doksuri had been bringing scattered rainstorms while enhancing the southwest monsoon but it intensified overnight into a super typhoon.

The state weather bureau said in an 8 am update today: 'A short window of high favorable environment in the near term will allow Egay to either maintain its intensity in the next 12 hours or slightly intensify.'

Forecasters warned the Super Typhoon could touch down in the Cagayan province area on the northern island of Luzon between Tuesday evening and Wednesday afternoon.

Taiwan and China are also bracing for the storm as it sweeps northwards with winds of 240km/h (149mph).
