This is the dramatic moment a motorcycle rider pulled over and jumped off his burning two-wheeler.

Footage shows the frantic man stopping on the dirt roadside as thick smoke oozed behind his seat in Nong Bua Lam Phu province, Thailand on June 24.

He then grabbed a black bag with documents inside before throwing it away as it was engulfed in flames.

The motorbike's exhaust and rear wheel had also been burned but he was able to control the fire before it spread.

Onlooker Thosaphol Pornsri said: ‘His bag was too close to the pipe. It had paper inside and caught fire from the heat.

‘Good thing he found out about it before it could have hurt him. He took his motorcycle to the mechanic after that.'

No one was hurt in the incident but the rider had to tow his two-wheeler to the repair shop.
