Israeli settlers attacked al-Lubban al-Gharbieh, a village northwest of Ramallah, vandalising shops and vehicles yesterday night (June 20).
It has been reported that fields and vehicles were set on fire and that rocks were thrown at Palestinian cars. At least 140 vehicles were damaged.

A gas station was also set on fire. Fortunately, firefighters were able to extinguish the blaze before it reached fuel tanks.

The settlers' action came after four Israelis were shot dead near an illegal settlement in the occupied West Bank The two gunmen were later killed by Israeli forces.

He said Palestinian firefighters were able to extinguish the fire in the gas station before reaching the fuel tanks, which would have caused a big disaster in the village.

The firefighters also extinguished fire set by the settlers to the yards of Palestinian houses and cars in the village.

The pogroms came after four settlers were shot dead in an attack at the entrance to an illegal Jewish settlement near al-Lubban village. The two alleged Palestinian attackers were later killed by the Israeli occupation forces.
