A hero dad caught a toddler's head with his foot when she fell off the sofa - saving her from a nasty concussion.

The little girl named Linin was playing with her older siblings and running around the house when she climbed up the couch in their living room in Bangkok, Thailand on May 12.

But while sitting on the fluffy cushion, the two-year-old tried to stand up and lost balance and tumbled backwards.

CCTV footage shows how the youngster's head was just inches away from smashing into the tiled floor before the father's fast reflexes caught her with his foot.

Quick-thinking father Wut Kamolpan said: ‘My daughter is at the age where she has no fear and is a bit clumsy. She fell back and I reached out with my foot, it was just an instinct.

'It helped that I used to play soccer when I was younger. We didn't know how serious the accident could have been and only found out later when we watched the video.'

Wut's daughter Linin was shaken by the fall and cried so Wut hugged and kissed her to calm her down.

The youngster was unhurt and returned to playing with her sisters after the incident.
