A powerful explosion has rocked a gas supply station in the Samarkand region of Uzbekistan, leaving one person injured. The incident occurred on May 10th, 2023, and was reportedly caused by a violation of safety techniques during the draining of fuel from a gas tanker into the reserve tank.

Eyewitnesses reported that the explosion was preceded by a fire that broke out in a truck at the gas supply station. The fire then spread to several LNG cylinders, causing a series of explosions that shook the area and sent plumes of smoke billowing into the sky.

Emergency services were quickly dispatched to the scene, and the injured person was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
