An ostrich was spotted running along a busy road in eastern China.

Video filmed in the city of Qingdao in Shandong Province on April 20, shows an around 2-metre-high ostrich running among vehicles on a busy road.

Drivers were forced to slow down or come to a complete stop.

Officials from the Huangdao Traffic Police Brigade of the Qingdao Public Security Bureau confirmed that the ostrich had been caught by the relevant authorities.

Investigations are ongoing to determine the source of the bird, and further action will be taken accordingly.

4月20日中午，山东青岛，西海岸新区的道路上出现了一只鸵鸟，它时而优雅踱步，时而急速狂奔，由于当时路上车辆较多，驾驶员们只能缓慢跟行或者停驻，对道路的正常通行造成一定影响。
珠江路上竟然有一只鸵鸟？如此奇景属实不多见，不少群众也纷纷拿出手机跟拍，这只鸵鸟毛色呈棕褐色，高约2米左右，步伐矫健。
20日下午，青岛市公安局黄岛分局交通警察大队一名工作人员回应称，这只鸵鸟已经被相关部门擒获，目前正调查其来源，随后会做进一步处理。
