Police officers and firefighters saved a 2-year-old girl trapped in a deep well in central China.

Video filmed in Yuanyang County in Henan Province on March 21, shows the rescue team using a mobile gas supply source to provide continuous oxygen to the well and then using excavation tools such as a backhoe and shovels to dig the mud.

After more than an hour, the girl was successfully rescued. The on-site emergency doctor confirmed that she was not in a life-threatening condition.

According to witnesses, the girl was playing on a mound of dirt where her neighbour was about to build a house on it. However, she suddenly lost her balance and fell into the 5-metre-deep well.

接警后，公安民警带救援设备第一时间赶到现场，同时联系消防救援大队与120急救中心。在现场了解到，两岁女童在邻居家准备建房的土堆上玩耍，不慎失足坠入直径30公分深度达5米的土井内。“叔叔，我害怕”，孩子伴着哭声说道。“小朋友，别害怕，警察叔叔在这里，你在下面别乱动，我们马上把你从井里救出来”，民警一边维持现场秩序，一边安抚孩子情绪。
民警与消防人员一边利用移动式供气源对洞内进行不间断供氧，一边使用挖掘机和铁锨等工具进行挖掘，历经一个多小时的全力救援，成功将坠井女童解救。经现场急救医生判断，该女童无生命危险。民警叮嘱村干部及周围村民在生活中一定要注意安全，杜绝此类事件再次发生。
