Loyal Dog Protects Baby When Mum Leaves The Room
Uploaded by a Newsflare content partner
A loyal dog went to protect its human baby brother after their mother left the room whilst playing a game with the pooch.
Jade Nelson, 26, from Victoria, British Columbia, was at home with her black labradoodle Octavia and son Emerson, on August 22, when she decided to play a sneaking game with the pup.
Playing it with all her dogs, Jade sneaks up on the pooches and see’s how close she can get.
As she leaves the room and re-enters in a sneaking stance, Octavia rushes over to baby Emerson and protects the baby until Jade changes her position and goes back to normal, congratulating the dog.
Jade said: “We’ve had a long tradition of playfully “sneaking” up on our pups as a game.
“Just before this video was taken I tried it with our pup Octavia and she went over to sit in front of my son as if protecting him, so I set up my camera to see if she’d do it again and she did!
“Most people adored the video but others suspected Octavia was resource guarding but this is not the case here as I can approach my baby at all times.
“I’m very touched and proud of our pup!”
