A man rescued a girl that was being washed away by a river's current in eastern China.

Video filmed in the city of Lishui in Zhejiang Province on August 7 shows a girl being washed away by rapid water in a river.

A man named Zhou Yechun then ran into the river to rescue the girl immediately.

Although the man slipped down the stairs, he eventually saved the girl successfully.

Zhou was reportedly a middle school teacher. He spotted the incident when he was taking a walk on the riverside.

Zhou had minor injuries to his arms and legs but he saved the girl and handed her over to her family.

8月7日下午，浙江丽水龙泉市江边，一名女童不慎在江边台阶上摔倒，瞬间被急流卷入河中。旁边一位路过的男老师立马下河去救人，因台阶上有青苔，这位老师不慎滑倒，重重摔入河中。但他没有慌乱，马上在水中起身，奋力往落水女童方向游去。最终顺利救起女童，交给了她的家长。
视频拍摄者柳女士称，小女孩不知怎么掉到台阶中间，被水流冲走，一名小伙下水营救时重重摔了一跤，看着都很疼。“小伙子救人时不顾自己的危险，太感人了！”另外一名现场目击者称，女童和同伴在台阶上行走时，她不慎滑入水中，几次试图爬起来又被水冲走，幸亏被好心的小伙子救起来。
据了解，视频中救人的小伙子周叶春，他是龙泉市第四中学的一名老师。周叶春介绍，7日晚7时许，他吃过晚饭后到三江口江边散步，一名女童从龙泉溪中的小岛沿石墩走到岸边时，不慎落入水中。他立即丢掉包包，快速从堤岸上跑到河边，准备营救女童，由于台阶上有湿滑的青苔，他不慎滑倒，手臂和腿部受了一点伤。他跳入水中将女童救上岸，交到女童的家人手中，随后离开了现场。（视频由浙江台提供）
