Clashes with security forces as thousands protest against Gaza's electricity crisis

Thousands of citizens, in Jabalia camp in the northern Gaza Strip, protest against the worsening electricity crisis in the Strip.

The demonstrators condemned the electricity company's failure to provide convincing reasons for this crisis, calling for solving this problem in accordance with the national interest.

The march started from Jabalia camp towards the headquarters of the Electricity Distribution Company, amid angry chants calling for an end to the crisis and the right of citizens to obtain electricity.

The security services, fired in the air as soon as the march reached the headquarters of the Electricity Company, to disperse the demonstrators by force, noting that the security services pursued the demonstrators in the streets and alleys of the camp and arrested a group of young men and beat them with sticks and batons.
