Police fired tear gas and charged protesters as clashes erupted in the French capital after the exit polls were announced and confirmed Emmanuel Macron had been re-elected as President of France. The footage shows the police chasing protesters through Les Halles shopping complex before clashing at the Place de la République in Paris on Sunday (24/04). The French President beat his far-right opponent Marine Le Pen with 58.6% of the vote compared to Le Pen’s 41.46%.
