Worried dog, who has never swam before, dives into pool to rescue US owner who he thought was drowning
Watch this dog, who had never swam before, heroically dive into a pool to save his owner when he thought was drowning.
Anthony Spinner, 25, decided at a Fourth of July party to feign drowning, to see if his dog Boogie would try to save his life.
“I wanted to see if he would do it or not,” said the personal trainer from Los Angeles, California.
In the video, the eight-month-old blue nose Pitbull can be seen nervously standing at the pool’s edge contemplating jumping in as Anthony disappears under the water and reaches out to him.
Boogie sprints away to a lower area of the pool before belly flopping in and doggy paddling over to Anthony.
The two share an embrace in the water as Boogie tries to shower Anthony with kisses.
“I was kind of shocked," said Anthony.
"I didn’t think he was going to do it.
“He never swam before, but he was swimming perfectly fine.”
Anthony said Boogie seemed relieved once he got to him.
“His main goal was to see what was going on,” he said.
“He was really happy and tried to smother me.”
