Motorcycle cameras caught the moment when a rider flipped off-road in Scotland while trying to overtake on a bend in the road.

The rider's footage shows him overtaking at speed on a road near Aberfoyle, only to narrowly dodge an oncoming car rounding the bend, sending him off the road and flipping into a patch of grass.

The filmer commented: "I was very lucky. The front-wheel went into the ditch/small steam. The bike somersaulted and I flew off like Superman!

"Landed on long boggy grass. The bike landed on the luggage rack. Minimal damage to the bike. I hurt my leg where it was caught up in the linkage...but was able to ride another two hours to the campsite."

This video was filmed on August 13, 2016.
