The Coastal Security Force staff rescued and saved a drowning woman from a beach in southern India's Karnataka on January 12. The incident took place at the Someshwar beach.

Visuals witnessing the incident features security personnel rescuing a woman from drowning in the sea. They extract her out with the help of some locals and bring her onto the beach. They make her rest on her back and massage it to stimulate her breathing.

The 23-year-old woman was identified as Keerthi, who came along with her friends Jayashree and Kriya to the beach.

They were playing in the sea when a massive wave struck Keerthi down. She was dragged away into the deep water by the extreme current. Mangaluru Coastal Police Station staff including Ashok Someshwar, Kiran, Antony, and Shivprasad rescued her timely and provided preventive care.
