Glenshee Ski Centre empty after recent changes to Scottish government COVID regulations

The popular Scottish ski centre is a ghost town after the Scottish Government recently announced new COVID-19 restrictions.

Having been forced to close due to restrictions, footage filmed on January 7 shows Glenshee Ski Centre silent, with the ski lifts at a standstill with their seats swaying in the breeze.

The centre is officially closed and has advised people not to travel there. The car park has been blocked off and the centre has tried its best to discourage people travelling.

A notice on the Glenshee website advises all possible visitors that all bookings have been suspended until the new lockdown restrictions are lifted.

"The roads surrounding the area were empty today. Lacking their normal seasonal traffic, in its place just the occasional articulated lorry transporting its load," the filmer explained.
