After making landfall in Quezon province late Wednesday, November 11, Typhoon Vamco moved eastward, hitting the area near the nation's capital.

The typhoon brought strong winds and heavy rains as it pummeled regions surrounding Manila by midnight. Power outages were reported and a 2nd alarm was raised for Marikina River due to rising water levels.
