A shop assistant smashed six beer bottles on a knife-wielding robber's head to subdue him in northern China.

The CCTV video, shot in the city of Dalian in Liaoning Province on June 17, shows a man attempting to rob a shop by using a knife to threaten a shop assistant.

When the robber tried to put the knife onto the assistant's neck, he grabbed the nearby beer bottles and smashed them on the robber's head.

After the robber fell onto the floor, the assistant ran out of the shop to call the police.

Police has arrested the robber named Liu and he confessed the crime, while the shop assistant‘s action was justified as self-defence. The case is in further investigation.

近日，辽宁大连，监控视频显示，事件发生在6月17日凌晨。当时，一男子持刀进入一家便利店，意图劫持店员实施抢劫。店员起初和男子进行沟通，打开收银台并用言语安抚男子情绪。随后，男子试图拿刀抵住店员脖颈，店员随即进行反抗，与男子进行搏斗。

店员随即拿起摆放在收银台附近的啤酒，往持刀男子头上连砸6瓶。待男子倒地后，店员迅速离开现场。6月29日，便利店工作人员向记者证实此事件，并表示事发后店员已经报警。

同日下午，西岗公安分局 通报调查结果，证实事件发生在6月17日凌晨1时34分许。事发当时，犯罪嫌疑人刘某（男，33岁）在西岗区某超市内持刀抢劫，店员手部被划伤后持酒瓶击打犯罪嫌疑人进行正当防卫。接警后，西岗警方立即临场，将犯罪嫌疑人刘某抓获。

西岗公安分局 表示，经审讯，刘某对其持刀抢劫的犯罪行为供认不讳。目前，犯罪嫌疑人刘某因涉嫌抢劫罪被警方依法刑事拘留，案件正在进一步工作中。（视频由辽宁台提供）
