This family came up with an ingenious way of keeping their children busy during the lockdown, all you need is chalk and a hose.

The clip, filmed at home in Northamptonshire on April 16, shows three-year-old Theo dressed up as a fireman 'putting out' the drawn on fire on his fence with the garden hose.

"Theo was just having fun being a fireman. He loved putting out the flames watching the chalk disappear. He loves dressing up and getting into character!" his mum told Newsflare.

I filmed this video, I am Emma Rosbinson! It was filmed last Thursday 16th April in our back garden. A great day for us as our little boy got his primary school first choice that morning and come that evening the response to his fireman video was amazing. A great day in lockdown and one to remember forever. Theo is obsessed with the hose pipe and watering the flowers and garden. We were just playing outside in the sunshine and we had been using chalk and a spray bottle a few days before practicing letter recognition and writing on the fence when he asked for the hose pipe. I drew some flames on the fence, got his fireman’s outfit on and away he went. He loved it.

Our family and friends think it’s great- especially Theo’s great grandparents. I’m a teacher and have had lots of ex-students messaging me to say they have seen our little boy go viral and can’t believe it. I’ve many teacher friends who have seen this shared on learning pages and his pre-school teacher messaged asking for his autograph! It’s all been very surreal. The response has been great and I hope there’s lots of other children around the country who have been able to give this a go and had fun in the sunshine whilst staying home safe.

Theo is age 3. Lives at home with mummy and daddy and is currently learning from home with us. Both mummy and daddy are teachers. He has made the most of his time in lockdown by making our neighbours smile with painted rainbows and letters, baked chocolate Krispie cakes, handprint felt hugs for great grandparents, made a rainbow out of his toys, had lots of fun hunting for worms and other creatures in the garden and generally just being just being happy, laughing and having fun. He’s also been doing his workbooks we got him but he’s learning through having fun too and making memories and that’s what lockdown is all about. I never want him to remember this as a scary time but instead a fun time having mummy and daddy home each day with him.
