Madhana Kala inspector of Police who is working in Thiruparankundram police limit is now trying to save the monkeys by feeding them.

Due to the lock down of the entire country the temples also have been closed. And there are near two thousand monkeys in the hills near Thiruparankundram temple. These monkeys were living with the fruits that are being given to them by the devotees. Due to the lock down none visits the temple and the monkeys are dying due to starvation.
Knowing this Madhana Kala got shocked and then tried to help these monkeys by feeding them. She sought permission from the higher officials and stared asking for contribution from the vegetable and fruit market and the vendors in and around the area. Some came forward to help the officer. The officer daily collects fruits and vegetables for the monkeys and the peacocks. She then feeds them with all those collected and also she also set up a water tank for the animals and birds to quench its thirst. The public are praising the officer s dedication as the state police department is having tough time now and in spite of the work pressure she continues to feed them after the working hours
