A group of people tried fighting off thousands of flying termites as they invaded their home in east Vietnam on September 22.

According to the filmer, he had entered his home and found thousands of flying termites everywhere gathered around electric light bulbs.

He then urged everyone in the house to turn off the electricity and left only a single light. Everyone inside quickly gathered bags and pots to catch the flying insects, with footage showing bowl filled with hundreds of insects.

The man said that this was the first time such the flying termites have appeared in such large numbers. Previous times when they had appeared, they were few in number and disappeared soon after.

After a few hours of surrounding the house, the flying termites flew away and all entrances to the house were sealed to prevent any more getting in.
