A toddler in north India had a miraculous escape after she was saved from drowning in an eight-foot pothole filled with water in northeast India.

The four-year-old girl, named Vaishnavi, was passing through a lane at Ghoron ka chowk area of Jodhpur, Rajasthan on September 29, when she fell into a hole filled with sewer water and began to sink.

Fortunately a man named Jyotiram Patil who was tending his shop nearby saw the child drowning and ran towards her, pulling her out almost immediately.

According to locals they have continuously complained to authorities about the open main holes but have been repeatedly ignored.
