Storm Pabuk caused severe flooding as it hit southern Thailand earlier this morning (January 4).

Footage shows a resident struggling to walk through a submerged road in the Ranot district of Songkhla Province.

The storm has killed at least one and forced thousands to evacuate.

Pabuk, which is the first tropical storm in the Southeast Asian country in 30 years, is now moving across the southern regions, affecting tourist hotspots.
