Curious otters meet crocodile in Brazil
An amazing video has emerged online showing the moment four giant river otters encountered a caiman crocodile in Brazil’s Pantanal wetlands.
The footage throws into question traditional perceptions of predator and prey.
The small crocodile keeps its position, on land, for much of the encounter while the otters take it in turns to approach the reptile, seemingly feeling there's safety in numbers.
But the croc is eventually forced into the water after one otter makes the particularly bold decision to bite its tail.
